Daniel Radcliffe and his long-term romantic partner Erin Darke are anticipating the arrival of their first offspring. A spokesperson for the actor, who rose to fame for his portrayal of the titular character in the Harry Potter film series, communicated to The Hollywood Reporter on the weekend that Darke is currently with child.
The duo crossed paths while working on the film Kill Your Darlings in 2013, where Radcliffe depicted the renowned poet Allen Ginsberg and Darke portrayed a woman who has a romantic entanglement with him. The 33-year-old performer, whose most recent work involved playing the role of the comedic musician “Weird Al” Yankovic in the feature film titled Weird: The Al Yankovic Story released last year, is not known to divulge personal information about his life and is not active on social media.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2022, Radcliffe expressed his view on why his personal life does not typically dominate the media’s attention. He stated, “I believe that since becoming sober, I haven’t done anything noteworthy enough.” As an actor, he prefers to lead a low-key lifestyle, spending quality time with friends and focusing on his work.
In March of the same year, while promoting his role in the comedy film The Lost City alongside Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, Radcliffe disclosed to People that he and Darke have been “truly content” together. He stated, “I’m leading a happy life. I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for almost a decade now.”
Darke, an actress, has appeared repeatedly on Radcliffe’s television series Miracle Workers. She has also had recurring roles on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and featured in movies such as Thank You for Your Service and Don’t Think Twice.
